As I mentioned a few days ago, I am !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! with my beloved old Audi A8L. That means I need to replace it, preferably with something quite a good deal more reliable and practical. Well, I now have that replacement! The whole “reliable and practical” thing didn’t really work. Say hello to my not-new 1991 Alfa Romeo Spider!

Quick rundown: It’s a base model, not a Veloce. It’s also an automatic, but beggars can’t be choosers. More importantly, it’s got just over 30,000 original miles on it. It’s currently at our mechanic getting a little work done since it’s been sitting for a long time, but I should have it back within a week. Excitement!

Congrats, I shopped these years ago, before I ended up buying my buddy’s MGB when he moved overseas. I still really like them and think i’ll have one in the garage, someday.

We’ve been brainstorming plates all week. Most forms of Its Bitsy in NE are registered to Eclipse Spyders. I may go with some form of “arachnid” .

I did not realize they were still making it 1991. Well hopefully Alfa gave it some updates along the way. Looks mighty good.

They made it until ‘93, and yeah, updates include power steering, an airbag, electronic fuel injection, and the aforementioned automatic.

I had an idea a while back to get a black S2 Spider, give it monster flares and either a big-bore V6 or a big ol’ turbo and get it a plate that says ‘SHELOB’
